I think I should not give any advice to anyone about someone else's film, because after all it's your money.
Checkout CC2C.
It has turned to be the biggest flop of Akshay Kumar in 2009.

ABOUT "Slumdog Millionaire"

Based on the book Q & A by Vikas Swarup, we are introduced to Jamal (Dev Patel), who is on his way of winning KAUN BANEGA CROREPATI (Who wants to be a millionaire?), yet there is scepticism from the game show host (Anil Kapoor) that a slumboy could know the answers and he gets him arrested. The policeman (Irrfan Khan) demands to know how Jamal could possibly know the answers to all the questions, and thus begins the journey of his experiences through flashback. With each question asked in the present, we learn from his past, that he learnt many things that common people would never know, without reading a book. As we move from flashback to the current time, where Jamal is proving his innocence, we learn that his real goal is to reunite with his true love Latika (Freida Pinto), whom he’s been searching for since he was a boy.

Slumdog Millionaire is the feel good movie of the year and is the biggest contender for best picture at the Oscars on February 22nd. The pacing of the story is fast-paced and you become eager to know how Jamal gets the answers right. Even though life has been unfair, he’s shown as a fighter and just never gives up despite all obstacles.

The film sets a benchmark on all levels. The adapted screenplay by Simon Beaufoy is suspenseful and intriguing. The cinematography is award winning by Anthony Dod Mantle. Editing by Chris Dickens is crisp. Music and score by AR Rahman blends perfectly in the background to the plot. Director Danny Boyle zooms competently through Jamal’s life and with ease so the viewer can’t help but fall in love with the main characters and the story. There is no bias, there is no religion, and the filmmaker ensures that even India is seen as a character in all its beauty.

On the acting side, all the newcomers are rising stars. Dev Patel acts confidently as the ambitious, defiant, courageous Jamal and you root for him till the very end. Bravo! Freida Pinto is a natural beauty that fills the screen with her damaged innocence. Her subtle chemistry with Dev is what made the characters feel real. Anil Kapoor is quite good as the cunning and cocky host; it’s great to see him really dig his teeth in this role. Irrfan Khan and Mahesh Manjrekar (villain) are adequate. Madhur Mittal, as Jamal’s older brother Salim, stands out. All the young actors playing Latika, Jamal, and Salim did an excellent job, especially in the sequence where they run away from an orphanage.

Thinking about this movie makes me smile and proves that the magic of movies is very much alive! Slumdog Millionaire is among the finest and most compassionate films I’ve ever seen about an underdog and is highly recommended to everyone. Enjoy!

I MUST WATCH MOVIE.

ABOUT RAB NE BANA DI JODI

RAB NE.... IS A GOOD FILM AND A MUST WATCH FAMILY ENTERTAINER, WHEREAS GHAJNI IS ALSO A GOOD ENTERTAINMENT, BUT IT IS TOO VIOLENT, SPECIALLY RISKY FOR CHILDREN AND FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE SUFFERED IN 26/11 INCIDENT.

MESSAGE OF RAB NE BANA DI JODI:
LOVE DOES NOT ONLY MEAN - TO GET BUT ALSO MEANS TO GIVE;TO LIVE FOR SOMEONE WHO MAY NOT MARRY YOU, MAYBE YOU CAN'T MARRY HER, LIKE I.

U R GREAT SHAHRUKH & AAMIR, BUT DON'T COMPETE WITH EACH OTHER COMPETE HOLLYWOOD HEROES WHO WIN OSCARS, WE NEED OSCAR

SOMETHING ABOUT RAB NE BANA DI JODI

HAPPY MAKAR SANKRANTI TO EVERYONE

YESTERDAY, I WATCHED "RAB NE BANA DI JODI". I WOULD SAY:

IT'S A GREAT FILM. IT HAD A STRONG STORY-LINE WITH DEEP MEANING. IT ACTUALLY REFLECTED THE FEELINGS OF HEART OF MARRIED GROOM. I MAN WHO LOVES HIS WIFE, BUT SHE DOESN'T. HE LITTERLY CHANGES HIMSELF TO MAKE HIS BETTER-HALF'S LIFE HAPPY.

GREAT ACTING
AND
GREAT FILM!!!!!!!!!!!!

SRK WAS TRULY LOOKING AN ORDINARY MAN

THANKS

THANKS AAMIR KHAN. WHEN I HEARD THE STORY OF "GHAJNI", I WAS INSPIRED AND SINCE I AM IN LOVE, I CREATED A NEW SCRIPT-LINE ON THAT. I HAVE NAMED IT: I LOVE YOU

My Personal Review on Ghajni

A GREAT ROMANTIC ACTION THRILLER FILM

GREAT BOX-OFFICE RECORD MADE BY THE FILM

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MANY OF MY FRIENDS AND RJ'S SAID THAT IT WAS AN OVER-ACTING OF AAMIR KHAN. MAYBE....BUT THE MESSAGE OF THE STORY IS GREAT.

SANJAY SINGANIA WAS A PATIENT OF SHORT TERM MEMORY LOSS. BUT TO REMEMBER HIS TARGET, HE USED TO TAKE SNAPS AND USED WRITE EVERYTHING. WHEREAS WE'RE FIT YET WE CAN'T REMEMBER OUR RESOLUTION AND GOALS.
THIS IS A GREAT TEACHING FROM HON. PROFESSOR AAMIR KHAN.

MESSAGE OF THE FILM: "IF YOU STRIVE FOR ANYTHING YOU'LL ACHIEVE, THE ONLY THING YOU REQUIRE IS THE CORRECT PATH, PRESENCE OF MIND AND MADNESS ABOUT IT."

GREAT STORY
GREAT DIRECTION
GREAT MUSIC

MAYBE IT WAS NOT DIFFERENT THAN THE ORIGINAL GHAJNI, BUT THE AAMIR KHAN WAS GREAT IN GHAJNI!!!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RATING:6/10

MY THINKINGS/MY SUGGESTIONS:

  • I THINK CREATING SOMETHING DIFFERENT WAS POSSIBLE FOR AAMIR KHAN.
  • TOO VIOLENT.

Budget: INR 45 crore

Ghajini set record breaking opening weekend and opening week gross box office takings in India of Rs 700 million (GBP 9.55 million) and Rs 1.1 billion (GBP 15.01 million) respectively.

Ghajini began with a historic collection, collecting around Rs. 200 crores within two weeks worldwide. At the end of 15 days it had collected 190 crores thus, making a big history in Bollywood. It was a "super blockbuster film" and, it's songs were also hits.

It was released with around 1500 prints, of which 213 were released overseas. The movie had around 650 paid previews which fetched it around INR 70 million. The domestic distribution rights of Ghajini were sold for 53 crores and home video rights, overseas rights and satellite rights for another Rs 40 crore.

According to official box office business site businessofcinema.com Ghajini Collected US$ 15mn(Rs.72 crore) in the overseas market by 9th January 2009. The film has become the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time.

Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini is going strong at the box office and how! The movie's second weekend grossed Rs 300 million (Rs 30 crores) in India.

In the second weekend, occupancy levels at multiplexes ranged between 60 – 70 per cent, indicating there has been a drop of 30 - 40 per cent compared to the first weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) when the movie ran houseful shows.

The two weeks India collections of Ghajini stand at Rs 1.40 billion (Rs 140 crores) gross and worldwide collections is in the range of Rs 1.77 - 1.80 billion (Rs 177 - 180 crores).

In the overseas, the movie raked in collections of $1.9 million from North America in one week; whereas the UK gross was at $ 0.7 million. In the Middle East, Ghajini grossed $1.5 million in one week.

Ghajini grossed Rs 520 million (Rs 52 crores) and Rs 300 million (Rs 30 crores) in the first and second weekend respectively and showed a drop of 40 per cent. The evening and night shows at most multiplex cinemas ran housefull on Saturday and Sunday.

The movie did see a drop today (Monday, 5 January), but multiplex officials are evidently pleased with Ghajini's performance. The movie has set record collections of the year in multiplex properties. Also a drop of 40 per cent in the second weekend is not bad at all, especially since it had such a wide and extended release window.
